Before you install any wallet

Fake wallet extensions are common. Some copy a real wallet's name and logo exactly, and they exist to steal seed phrases. Open the wallet maker's own website first and follow its link to the extension store. Check the publisher name and the number of users on the listing. Lesson 37: Phishing, fake apps, and malicious approvals explains how these fakes work.

A browser wallet is a hot wallet: its keys sit on an internet-connected computer. Lesson 25: Hot vs. cold wallets explains when that is fine and when to use a hardware wallet instead, and Lesson 26: How to choose a software wallet sets out what to look for in any software wallet.

These guides describe what each wallet does. They are not recommendations, and none of these companies paid to be listed.
